Tribute

Colin was born in Calgary, Alberta

He was preceded in death by his mother Donna Jones and survived by his Father Dennis Jones and his Sister Marcia Jones

As a child Colin was always adventurous, he loved the outdoors and loved collecting lizards and snakes to bring home. Not a favorite pass time for our mother. Colin had a love of animals, especially birds, he did work at a pet store for work experience through school. It was there that an abused parrot would only go to Colin. No one else could touch the bird.  He just had a way with animals. This continued as he grew older too. When he was younger, he played hockey and enjoyed it.  He loved watching hot air balloons, playing with race car tracks and trains.

He loved to fish and would go down to Cowichan river to fish as often as he could.  Colin loved to laugh and had a great sense of humour.  He enjoyed tinkering in our parent’s garden and always found beautiful flowers he would cut and give to mom.  Even after she passed away.

He always worried about what others thought of him because he had a constant battle during his life.  But when you got to know Colin you saw a wonderful individual.  He loved to fix and tinker with things to fix them, he enjoyed helping others where he could, when we would take photo’s together, he would always do one goofy pose then one serious pose. Colin and his sister were always very close despite the almost 5 years in age.

His Father and sister will miss him dearly and know he is at peace now, with Donna by his side.
