Carol Sidoroff
Date of Death: October 31, 2021
Tribute
We were all saddened at the passing of Carol Sidoroff on October 31st. She was 77 years old.
Lovingly remembered by her three sons and their wives Rob, Rod (Monica), and Darren (Andrea) along with her three grandchildren Mason (Jessica), Molly (Kaleb) and Elena. She will also be missed by her brother Wayne (Nancy) and her sister Rene (Gary), and friends too many to mention.
Carol was a fine example over the years caring for others. Along with Len she always put her family first and no one ever could doubt her love and devotion to them. Even as her health deteriorated her first inclination was to ask how others were doing, closely followed by a suggested remedy.
14 years ago, she lost her best friend and partner in her husband Leonard. In the following years her health continued to decline but mom coped courageously. She set a fine example of retaining joy and hope, despite of great loss and poor health.
As a family we would like to thank the many home caregivers and support workers that looked after mom over the years. You are some of kindest and most selfless people we have met. Without a doubt the joy and relative autonomy mom had over the years was due to your loving care. Though she was only in Cairnsmore for 3 months her time there was marked by this same loving care she had received at home.
We were also blessed by several doctors which helped mom. In particular Dr Mohammed Ibrahim is someone that mom and ourselves leaned on over the years. Whenever mom was frustrated, overwhelmed, or just saddened by her plight you took the time to empathetically listen and do whatever you could to help. This was true right down to end. We can never thank you enough.
All who knew Carol were aware of the challenges she faced over the past two and a half decades with Parkinsons. Her courage, sense of humor, faith and empathy for others shone through despite of all her struggles.
Carol’s hope was to live again, see her loved ones in perfect heath Revelation 21:3, 4.
On November 13th there will be a memorial of Carol’s life held virtually over Zoom.
If you would like to attend, please reach out to a family member or email csidoroff2021@gmail.com and we will get you the sign in information.
