Carol Anne Laib (Jervis )

Tribute
We are saddened to announce the passing of Carol Anne Laib (Jervis) on July 15, 2026 in her 88th year.
Carol was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur Laib. Carol was born on January 29th 1938 in Toronto, Ontario where she spent the first chapter of her life.
She had a full life, from starting her own dairy goat operation, with her many show goats and raising rabbits, sheep, pigs, chickens, geese, ducks and cows on a hobby farm in Newcastle, Ontario. President of the Newcastle Figure Skating Club, and was even out on her skates in the Moms and Sons hockey game.
Carol married Arthur and started another chapter, moving to British Columbia in the 1980s, where she bred and raised Parrots and was a big part of the Vancouver Island Cage Bird Society where she wrote the newsletter for the club, and had many prize winning birds.
Carol was a Foster Parent for 60 years welcoming many children into her home, and she taught some of them crafts, as she was a talented knitter, seamstress, leathercrafter, ceramics and needlepoint.
Carol will be lovingly remembered by her children, Brenda, Edward, Michael, Angela (Paul), Monica, James. Her grandchildren Amanda, Krystal, Angela, Jessica Leigh, Rebecca, Racheal, Melanie, Bianca, Jeannine and great grandchildren and many Foster children.
Special Thanks to The Hamlets staff and many thanks to the Nurses and Care Aids who took special care of our Mom. Thank you Dr Ismail and Simone for your compassion, care and guidance in our Mothers final chapter.
