It is with heavy hearts that the family of Carol Dion announce her passing on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at the age of 73.
Carol was born in Montreal, Quebec on October 4, 1950. Her family relocated to Duncan, BC in her younger years and Carol spent the majority of her life living in and around the Cowichan Valley. Carol was known for her quick wit and profound organizational skills. She was well loved and will be missed.
Carol is survived by her spouse of over 40 years, Joseph Silva, along with her children Sally Haxthow (Rob), Robert Radloff, Christine Giles (Pete), Lisa Bell (Roy) and Debra Silva; her three grandchildren, Michael, Dawson and Nicholas and her great grandchild, Ashton.
Carol is predeceased by her mother, Edna Whatley, her father, Claude Dion, and her sister, Theresa Dion.
The family wishes to send a special thanks to the staff at Cowichan Hospice, as well as her doctors the took care of her the last few years, for their caring and compassion.
Per Carol’s private wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
