Bruce Charles Macpherson

Tribute
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Charles Macpherson of Stoney Hill.
Born in Duncan, Bruce spent most of his working career in forestry, contributing to the genetic strengthening of local trees—work that lives on in the forests that continue to grow all around us. In his younger years, Bruce traveled through Europe and Mexico while studying art. Over time, he came to appreciate the quiet comforts of home: tending to his garden, enjoying a good glass of scotch by the water, and, most of all, spending time with his family.
In recent years, his greatest joy was his granddaughter, Torrence, with whom he could often be found sitting in a comfy chair, reading books and sharing graham crackers. He was predeceased by his mother, Ruth Marjorie Bazett, and his father, Laughlin Frederick Macpherson. Bruce is lovingly remembered by his wife, Wendy, his son, Blaine (Kaitlynn), his stepdaughters Jen (Mike) and Jessica, his brother, Ian (Cindy); his sister, Pam (Andy), and his cherished granddaughter, Torrence. He will also be fondly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, neighbours, and friends.
Bruce was a kind and modest man, and all who knew him were fortunate to have shared in his life. With this in mind, his family warmly invites you to join them in celebrating his life.
A gathering will take place on June 7 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Maple Bay Yacht Club, 6337 Genoa Bay Road, Duncan, BC.
