With sincere condolences to Brian’s family and friends, I’m very saddened to hear that he has passed from this life at only 59 yearsof age. I wish I had been in town to attend his memorial. I remember him as a kind, gentle and caring man whose face seemed to exude a warm twinkle when he spoke. He was a valued core member of the Cowichan Connection for Peace at the time of it’s formation in the early 1980’s and for several years after. His commitment and measured, calm demeanor was a vital factor in the work and cohesion of that group. I felt privileged to work with him as a fellow peace activist and will always remember him fondly.
