Tribute
We are sad to announce that Tony has passed after a lengthy illness in Duncan, BC. Tony was predeceased by his parents Dr. George and Stella Foster.
Remembered and loved by his wife Linda and two daughters Karalyn and Christina; grandchildren Brennan and Aubriana; brother Geoff (Colleen); brother and sister in laws Debby, Norm, David and Debbie as well as many nieces and nephews and special friends Leighton, Darrell and Pat.
Tony’s great loves were his family and pets. He loved fishing, camping, golfing, curling, bridge, carpentry and enjoyed following sports events with the guys. Tony had a great sense of humour and enjoyed telling stores to his family and friends.
His fondest memories were of a carefree youth in Castor, Alberta, camping, fishing, training pet hawks, riding horses and sledding down snowy ravines. At Shawnigan Lake School he excelled at sports and sang in a group called the “Four Frenchmen.”
Tony graduated from UBC with a degree in commerce then pursued a career with Woody Gundy investment. After several years he switched hats and established a roofing company in Vancouver then in the Cowichan Valley.
Tony worked very hard to provide for his family. He built three beautiful homes and two cabins in his lifetime, which was a very proud accomplishment for him.
A Celebration of Tony’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2014 from 1:00 to 4:00 in the family home. Please RSVP to the family via email: linda.foster@shaw.ca
