Dave, I just returned from two weeks away and was very saddened to read of Kay’s passing. She was your best friend and soul-mate. Although it has been some years since we were last together in “Cow Bay” I still remember her kindness and laughter and the welcome you both extended to me. I know that you will hear these words many times, and I really mean it when I say that if you want to talk or have someone to listen to you, please let me know. I’m sorry that I can’t attend her service but I will be with you in spirit.
My thought are with you Dave

I am so sorry about Kay’s passing. It was a difficult journey for you both. David, you did the best you could under stressful circumstances. I remember feeling Kay’s lovely and warm energy at some of the get togethers. You worked hard to find ways to support and help her. Loss is never easy and I send you my empathy and love at this difficult time.

Kay’s father Harris was my father, Al Sr’s brother. I hadn’t seen Kay for a long time but did talk to her on the phone a couple of times. I too spent 27 years in the military and I am still flying airplanes at age 66. I remember growing up when Kay was in her teens and I just a young lad and we had fun playing in Sheet Harbour (Watt Secton). My condolences to you David and your children.
