MALAHOFF: Alex – on Tuesday September 29, 2009 at the age of 82 years, Alex Malahoff passed away suddenly at his home in Cowichan Station with his wife Marjorie at his side. Alex was born March 25, 1927 in Glade, BC to Tina and Alex Malahoff. Alex was raised in the Kootenays where he worked briefly before moving to the West Coast of Vancouver Island. He worked as a loader operator and dispatcher until he retired in 1988. Alex and Marjorie enjoyed traveling and gardening..
Alex was predeceased by his parents, daughter Faye Cox (1994) and grandson Paul Guldemond (1985). He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marjorie of 45 years, son Ronald (Debra) and their children, Jeff, Susan and Jonathon; daughter Mona (Isaac) Guldemond and their children, Joeleen, Kylene, Laura, Marissa and Paula; grandchildren Ivan and Jamie Cox; 5 great grandchildren and younger sisters and brothers, Andy, Olga, Peter and Tina.
The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to Linda Mattin for her assisting Marjorie in a difficult situation.
A private family burial was held in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar BC. Flowers gratefully declined, if so desired, memorial remembrances may be made in the form of a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Online condolences may be offered at www.hwwallacecbc.com
