Alanna Zena Patrice Wolters
November 25, 1960 - July 11, 2022
Tribute
Surrounded by family, Alanna Zena Patrice Wolters unexpectedly and peacefully went home to Jesus on Monday, July 11.
Alanna was known for her beautiful smile and her positive outlook on life. You could often find her in the garden, watering her many plants, picking raspberries and strawberries to share, and watching her sunflowers grow tall. Some of her most favourite things were camping, traveling, biking, gardening, crafting, adventures that were always shared with her dear husband and best friend Ben. Alanna shared her caring heart with every single person who walked through the doors of Nana and Papa’s house. The creative effort she put into every birthday, holiday, and celebration, made everybody feel special and loved. She wasn’t just a Nana to her own grandchildren, she was Nana to all of the children in her life. We will carry her in our hearts forever.
Alanna will be remembered and missed by her highschool sweetheart and love of her life, Ben Wolters, her 4 daughters and their families; Natashia (Jon), Tiffany (Sava), Katrina (Tyler), Tamara (Deen), all 17 of their grandchildren; Holly, Candice, Benjamin, Mothias, Henric, Merika, Katelyn, Rosa, Jojo, Genevieve, Zachariah, Malakai, Katrina, Kelsey, Tyson, Sietse, and Gerrit. Sweet mother in law Hennie, loving sister Christeen, best friends Harry & Chris, Aileen, and all of the international students that have come to call her Nana. Alanna, known as Nana to so many, will always be remembered for her unconditional love for all of the children in her life including all of her special daycare kids.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25 at the Duncan Christian Reformed Church. You are welcome to join in person or live-stream on the Duncan CRC Facebook and Youtube pages.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit. A special thank you to H.W. Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre.
Alanna would wish for every single one of you to love and hug your children and take care of one another. “Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” Colossians 3:12
